Dear All,

So sorry for the long silence – things have been so hectic, but I PROMISE you, we have some very exciting news ahead! Pale Horse will be published January 2012 – I have been locked away in my writing room – as with the previous books I am totally absorbed with the characters and writing – CAN’T WAIT to share it with you. Look out soon for some ‘sneak peeks’ that will be posted. It’s all a bit ‘TOP SECRET’ at the moment, but watch this space for some big developments in 2011 on the movie plans!

In the meantime, as ever, thank you all for your WONDERFUL support! I just love to read all your messages and comments – it’s so inspiring to know that all the books are having such an impact – the truth, whether you believe it or not, is reality....facts are more powerful than fiction! Keep in touch, we’ll be putting up more news soon!

Hi guys - Just a short update today to say I’m in the middle of writing the PROLOGUE for A PALE HORSE – the first 16 pages include scenes from Area 51, The Vatican Astronomical Observatory and the South Pole Station, Antarctica.

Just wanted to say THANKS such A MILL to all those who have emailed in – can’t tell you how much the team and I appreciate your support! We try to post as many of your emails as we can on the website – just gets so busy sometimes we can’t always keep up – ALSO - IF you haven’t visited our new FACEBOOK CHRONICLES OF BROTHERS READERS Community – you’re so welcome – our face book friends and members are just AMAZING and its growing by word of mouth everyday! We haven’t got to the stage of really marketing it yet so it’s really just for die hard Chronicle fans.

Nick De Vere and I give updates – we’re planning to do more this year - and I’m about to give the whole Chronicles face book site a major redesign hopefully next month!

Well - December was a great month for SON OF PERDITION – it was released out in the UK High Street as well as in independent sci fi general market bookstores and Christian bookstores across the UK and online at Amazon.com, Play.com, and WH Smith.

I think one of the most amazing things we discovered was that SON OF PERDITION has been in the BOOKSELLER (the UK book trade publication) top twenty small publisher’s charts since early December and was still there in January!

Then of course the snow came – It got so severe that ‘Son of Perdition’ couldn’t be shipped out of the distributors warehouse to any stores – and then the weather got worse! Glad to report things are running smoothly again so it should be back on the shelves. We so appreciate you sharing with your family, colleagues, friends to get the word out.

And finally - To answer some of your questions re Book Four - Themes covered will include UFO Disclosure and govt cover up; the Rapture; the War in Heaven between Michael and Lucifer, build up to the breaking of the ‘Ishtar Accord’ struck with Israel after 42 months... And of course the relationship between both the earthly and Angelic brothers and much more!

Okay – have to get back to the PROLOGUE and AREA 51!

A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR AMAZING CHRONICLER READERS!

Well finally SON OF PERDITION is out in the UK High Street as well as in independent sci fi general market bookstores and Christian bookstores across the UK and online at Amazon.com,Play.com, WH Smith – the list goes on!

We’ve been so frantically busy in launch mode these past two weeks that we almost missed the amazing news that as of 19 Dec – re BOOKSELLER –the UK’s book trade publication - SON OF PERDITION had hit no 10 on the UK small publisher charts – out of the ENTIRE UK book market!

Just amazing! The deadline to reach the UK market was so tight – we’re all so relieved we just made it!

And just to give you a bit of "behind the scenes" info - believe me it was no less frantic, six weeks before launch - I wrote "Son of Perdition" over the entire summer – wall to wall, in Kansas in the Midwest of America– then my FINAL version of the book went off to be copy edited – spells, punctuation etc – I had about THREE days to turn it all around after getting it back off for FINAL typesetting- then it went back and forth via e-mail about thirty times with corrections (I was in Washington DC – filming at the time!)

At the same time, the book covers were already being printed as we knew we’d be in a desperate race against time for the general market UK deadlines.

The final manuscript was then e-mailed to the printers in Scotland who printed it in a phenomenal turnaround time! Meanwhile I flew from DC to Boston to Ireland for business and picked up the very first copies of Son of Perdition from our hotel in Dublin!

It was so amazing to actually hold them in my hand!

The truck carrying the first shipment of books drove down to our UK distributors in the South of the UK on Friday and they started going out into the distribution hubs the first week of December!

Because it was all so tight, it’s taken some time for the books to populate the stores – but they’re there now on shelves or online sites across the UK!

‘Water stones’ upgraded the book to ‘super tier’ after the first ten days, which is amazing - so such a huge thank you for all your support and enthusiasm! Appreciate you SO much!

We've just arrived back from Ireland-settling down for Christmas and then in the New Year I'm going to open Book Four – A PALE HORSE in the beautiful but Wild West of Ireland with Jason driving to meet with...!

If you've read SOP – you'll guess where that's heading!

Dear friends - This is just a very quick blog to let you know that I'm RIGHT in the middle of writing SON OF PERDITION and that's why you haven't seen an update on here from me - the deadlines are SO pressing because as many of you know I have such a demanding day job as director of television and creative director of GOD TV - so I've taken this summer to lay down the story - so most days I have to chose between a decision to blog or to write - and I HAVE TO WRITE!!

I just want to say a million thanks to all of you who have written and touched base in some way - here at the site, MySpace and on Facebook!

We've got over a THOUSAND of your comments that have come straight to the Chronicles website waiting to be POSTED - (we'll do this just before the launch in November but please keep them coming - I can't tell you how fantastic it's been to hear from so many of you!) and I managed to get the time to sneak a look at Facebook - 610 members - 71 posts - and FORGIVE US - we're too busy to develop any of our sites at this moment in time - so it's all just out there in the ether at the moment and it seems you amazing fans of the books have just happened to find each other! You guys are just incredible!

It's just been so hectic here! We'll give the Chronicles site a real overhaul in November before Son of Perdition is released and we'll post masses of all the new comments - and in the New Year I'm really hoping to employ a small web design team near me so that I can also start designing some CHRONICLES merchandise!

But for NOW - here's an update on the BOOK.

Okay - it was tough going earlier this year.

I wrote the first hundred pages during December 2008 and Easter holidays 2009.

I was intending to take the whole of December /January to continue but everything changed and we found ourselves moving from the UK back to the USA to Washington DC! I wrote for about three weeks in Feb/March and then back full swing into work and then a second move - packing everything up and unpacking - out to can you believe it the Midwest plains of America! But it's really beautiful and I absolutely love it!

My research into the Book of Revelation, the Illuminati, 9-11, UFO's, JFK assassination, CIA - mind control, black ops and drug cartels and many other core subjects tackled in fantasy in the book started over two years ago, so I've been absorbing myself in reams of research over a long period of time. My library is full!

Since the last two weeks of June I completely locked myself away and have been writing very long grueling days...I'm now up to Page - 335 which equates to around 390 pages in real book terms.

The earth story with Nick, Jason and Adrian is developing really well and the first draft is complete.

The story goes back to 1991, when Nick is five, Adrian 13 and Jason 18. Then jumps 27 years to 2021. The same time period as the excerpts from Messiah - the First Judgment.

The entire earth story revolves around Nick, Adrian, Jason, Julia, Princess Jotape, Lillian and Lawrence St Cartier. And I've introduced some new characters that I LOVE and am really excited about - especially with all you guys who write to me and are passionate followers of CHRONICLES who are 14-25!

Alex Lane Fox is 19. His mother (Julia De Vere's best friend) was killed in 9-11 and he's a young journalist and an obsessive conspiracy theorist. He's going out with Polly, 16 who is Lily de Vere's (15) best friend.

Jibril, 16 is Jotape's younger brother. His story really unfolds in books 4, 5 and 6.

Alex and Lily are set to take a major role in Books 4, 5, 6 and 7. As do Jason and Julia.

But really - Son of Perdition is Nick's story. There are quite a few twists and turns. And quite a cliffhanger at the end! The Book is set in London, New York, Alexandria, Brighton, Washington DC and Jerusalem and the later earth story is set in 2021 just as World war three has finished.

The Ishtar accord is about to be signed. A seven year peace treaty between Israel, Russia, the Pan Arab Union, the EU and the USA.

Now I'm in the middle of tackling the challenge of incorporating the Fist Heaven and Gehenna around 2021. I've pretty much written a third of the heaven story back with Jether and the High councils, Michael and Gabriel. And have completed the first sweep of several chapters when the Twins of Malfecium ride from the Crypts of Nagor to Lucifer. To inform him that there is one in the Race of Man now has the technology and expertise to create Lucifer's clone.

And finally both Jether and the Angelic and Lucifer and the fallen frequent the earth in 2021.

Lucifer as Jesuit priest Lorcan de Molay and Jether as......the book will reveal all.

I've also just completed the back cover copy which we'll try to post for you here on the site.

A million apologies that the website has remained in limbo - but because we're self publishing - and are so stretched, we are going crazy at all ends to get everything organized for the completion and production of this book by December 1st! The fact that I have so many other projects that constantly demand my attention creates a challenge, but a shift is coming and I really believe I can devote more time to develop CHRONICLES in so many ways!

But more than anything, I just want to thank so many of you who have contacted and written via the website, face book and MySpace. Your overriding passion and fervency for the story has meant such a lot and kept me going when I have been exhausted and things have been grueling.

I can't thank you enough. Really. Your love and support means the world to me. And for those who pray for me - I appreciate it so very much!

Okay. One blog in six months. Not bad! I'll try to do it more often but for now - I have to get back to work on the chapter when Nick discovers that his grandfather Julius De Vere was a Warlock High priest who has an indelible mark signifying selling his soul to the devil. More will be revealed...........

I just wanted to say such a heartfelt thank all the thousands and thousands of the incredible Chronicles family, who so loved ‘The Fall of Lucifer” and have been desperately waiting for the sequel in the USA - After many long and circuitous months – the sequel ‘Messiah – The First Judgment” is here! We had so many challenges in finally getting the second book out into America!

After much heart-searching, as some of you already know, we took the decision to buy the rights back from our original publisher in the USA (which took many months) and decided to take the hard (and extremely challenging) route of self publishing in America until Son of Perdition is complete – It means we are REALLY limited on marketing money – I mean REALLY limited! We print and sell – print and sell day by day! But the excitement that this series generates is unquenchable and we’re just so excited that finally the PAPERBACK of MESSIAH and the brand new complete and unabridged paperback version of FALL OF LUCIFER are now both available in America – through GODSHOP, soon to be here at THE CHRONICLES SHOP right here on this site and also available to order at any retail store on the system – both Christian Bookstores and secular e.g. Barnes and Noble. At this very moment we’re preparing the huge challenge now to actually get it INSTORE not just on the system – as we’re self publishing marketing money to pay for in store is very limited – but every book sale enables us to PRINT MORE BOOKS and get the message out!

Thank you thank you for all your e-mails and excitement - Your passion and love for the story has meant more than you could ever imagine – Although the basic story of “Messiah – the First Judgment” was already in a very basic first draft format, the year after the UK launch of ‘The Fall of Lucifer” suddenly turned into the most hectic year, probably of my entire life!

In the darkest times when I was so frenetically busy with my day job of running the programming side of our TV network launching into the USA on Rupert Murdoch’s Direct TV and could barely breathe… let alone think about Michael, Jether or rewriting some of the more complex and labyrinthine plotlines –

Somehow the messages from passionate readers of “Fall of Lucifer” kept arriving on my desk – and in between reading your e-mails, blogs and MySpace book choices – it was your love, your passion and your desperate impatience (and on occasion no little frustration!) for the sequel “Messiah” – that gave me much of the inspiration and capacity to face numerous, numerous rewrites in between a grueling schedule of producing, over weekends and evenings – over one Christmas and two Easters – in between two teenagers, cats and dogs, drawn out business trips to Washington DC, the capacity to overcome numerous mental blocks not assisted by the strange outpouring of British weather in a summer when the jet stream that normally goes to Iceland decided to ‘cruise’ over us here in the UK! - Where I wrote most of this book under heavy grey cloud and pouring rain in a wonderful nonconformist place where the skies have many moods - called Cornwall in the UK.

I truly believe for all those who so loved the story and ‘got it’, that Messiah is truly a better book. That is my great hope and desire. That with each new book in this epic saga, that the story reaches a new height – that each of the seven books that create the ‘Chronicles of Brothers” is a greater story than its predecessor. That none would ever disappoint those who already so love this story.

“Messiah – The First Judgment” opens in Cornwall in the UK – I remember on one of our rare summer days this year – sitting outside opposite Michael St Mount, having lunch, then driving through the streets to find (for book number Three “Son of Perdition”) possibly where Lucifer’s clone would be created.

Ah! But of course…that is in the next story!

Thank you from my heart for your commitment to and incredible passion for “The Fall of Lucifer” especially from readers from the UK and the USA. The 2021 plotlines that you will find woven throughout “Messiah – The First Judgment” with Jason, Julia, Adrian and Nick is just a small taster of the earth world that the story will thrust us into the frenetic world of “Son of Perdition” – where Lucifer and Michael and Gabriel are interwoven against a backdrop of 2021.

And last but not least – an incredible thank you to all the amazing Chronicles readers who live the other side of the ‘pond’ in the USA – who have been emailing and writing to ask WHERE- WHEN – HOW!!! Do I get my copy of Messiah! We had so many, many logistical challenges including some challenging rights issues - but finally ‘Messiah’ is in your hands.

2008 has been so hectic, I’ve only managed two blogs in the entire year – but I’m about to enter an intensive writing phase for Son of Perdition, so I’ll blog whenever I can progress updates for you – and release a few sneak chapters from forthcoming Chronicles books. We are already preparing a family tree, trivia, planning some merchandise in 2009/10 – as time allows! But most of all we would LOVE to hear from YOU – any encouragement would be welcome on the next long, exciting and grueling Chronicles road with “Son of Perdition” – SOP is already taking on a life of its own and to know you love the story enables me to stay at my computer during long winter nights and through holidays and weekends when my brain cells are frazzled – and I have to connect three worlds of storylines. The first 100 pages of Son of Perdition are written – At present I’m in the midst of a transatlantic move, I’ll pick up Son of Perdition in mid January and hopefully have the final manuscript in between work deadlines completed by August 1 – we’re looking to an October launch of Son of Perdition both in the UK and in America!

So – with great love and appreciation to all who will travel the Chronicles road – seven books later, until we all arrive with Michael and Lucifer at the White Gorge on the eastern shores of the Lake of Fire….

….when this story will finally be told.

On our return from America I have been totally sucked into the frenetic day to day of television – in my role as Network Controller – commissioning and producing programmes, overseeing our Network, Production and creative teams as well as compiling minute by minute schedules for May, June and July! - and prepping for our HUGE event in Israel in May –

I PROMISE I will be back with you in JUNE!

The GREAT NEWS IS – I managed to complete the first hundred first words on paper draft of SON OF PERDITION over Easter – is it going to be a rollercoaster ride!

With the Illuminati, New World Order, Jesuits, Ark of the Covenant, and the ‘Lorcan-Clone’ – but more about that in June.

As soon as I come up for breath in summer, our team will post some of the latest excerpts from SON OF PERDITION

I just want to thank all of you who are writing to the site with your encouragement and support – IT MEANS MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE!

Hi guys -- Just a quick blog update from my desk - the wind is howling here in England but at least theres a glimmer of blue sky at last! (Would you beleive it! Ive just finished writing my blog and now its pouring and black clouds - Ah well - the weather can be fickle in the UK!)

A HUGE thank you for ALL your emails to this site - its just so fantastic to hear from you - we've literally been inundated with your questions and comments and I want to say a huge personal thank you to all of you who have taken the time to write. Your love, support and passion for the project means more than you could imagine! Unfortunately we cant post all of your emails on the site but we've chosen some to try to reflect what many of you are asking or saying.

Questions to do with the books characters and storyline well try to post under Q & A in the next weeks but most other comments will be posted at the bottom of the website if you scroll down past the illustrations - they're there!

Well firstly, this site has literally been inundated with the same question from readers all across AMERICA - WHEN IS MESSIAH GOING TO BE RELEASED IN THE USA?

Lisa wrote from the USA saying - ' Wendy... I have quite a few teenage guys chomping at the bit for Book II of The Chronicles of Brothers. Is it out yet?'
Rhonda wrote - 'Why is it so hard to find book nbr two in the U.S.A.? I have nbr 1 in paperback and tried to get the second one and was told couldn't get it .. I 've been left in suspense! smile ..' Thanks, Lisa, Rhonda and so many of you who have emailed.

So we're SO sorry about the wait for Messiah in America. So many readers in the USA have been so supportive and excited about the project. As soon as there is any news I'll let you know. PLEASE watch this space as well be giving you updates on this website as soon as we have a clearer picture.

I DID check it out, Antonio - thanks a MILL! - I'm an info junkie and this was really appreciated and will post the findings under Q and A! -Its just fascinating! Very briefly, Im up to page 80 in writing Son of Perdition - will be posting some excerpts on the site soon. I always do a HUGE amount of research for the books - eventually have thousands of pages of internet research and notes - Well I've been doing overtime on researching the Illuminati, New World Order, 9-11, the Antichrist etc etc - and some of the things I'm discovering - theres literally just one word for - and that's CHILLING.

I have to admit that I started out as a huge conspiracy theorist sceptic ... and now... well... Son of Perdition is in the works... my stance has radically changed.

In fact the first chapter of Son of Perdition takes place on the 107th floor of the World Trade Centre on the 10th September...

Also Antonio mentioned in his e-mail that he thought that Son of Perdition is the last book of the series. Initially, the series was publicized as a trilogy, but it has rapidly grew to a series of SEVEN books - so Son of Perdition is number three, but the Chronicles saga continues through the great tribulation, Armageddon, the Millenium to the final book number seven - 'Lake of Fire'!

YOU GUYS ARE FANTASTIC!

Okay and finally - you guys are just amazing - Betty wrote that she loved Chronicles so much that she went and bought 7 more of The Fall of Lucifer and gave them to her friends! SEVEN!

We've also had offers of translation from some of you who are professionals in the publishing industry and some who just love the books and want to help out with your talents to translate into Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Danish, Korean and French -Also we've had offers of help on Chronicles from some talented artists and film technicians - and we appreciate your enthusiasm ALL SO MUCH!

Okay - and finally a blog from a reader that someone had found on the web and sent to me.

I was so moved - because my own life was deeply impacted by writing both Fall of Lucifer and Messiah - COULD SOMEONE PASS THE TISSUES - written by Jill from the UK.

'Ok - I've found the first book that's ever made me cry. It's an historical moment. I know people recommend books all the time including me, but this book is a must read. It's so flippin amazing! This is the long awaited second book by Wendy Alec - so you have to read the first one as well, which is as equally amazing. I love Jesus a whole lot more after reading 2 of the most amazing chapters last night in bed...

A HUGE WELCOME to our brand new .com site - I'm a creative visual junkie and have been intensively designing every graphic and line of the new website with our design and technical team, delving into old and current portfolios of Chronicles conceptual drawings - with the goal to bring YOU, the Chronicle readers a visual site that more accurately reflects both the look and excitement of the CHRONICLES PROJECT!

I also just wanted to drop a note to say such a HUGE thank you to those of you who have so loved the Chronicles of Brothers and had been so patient in waiting for Book Two!

We here at the Chronicles base are all so excited about at LAST being able to release Messiah - The First Judgement into the market. Profound apologies for the delay - As many of you may have guessed - we are self publishing! So it's been simply amazing to have the book available in Waterstones and Borders (now in store after a hold up) and in so many of the UK's general market independent sci fi / fantasy bookstores as well as online at Waterstones.com, Amazon.co.uk, Tesco.com and Play.com just to name a few!

We are all so excited about the launch of MESSIAH here in London and one of the most brilliant things that has happened has been the fact that from the second week of launch - MESSIAH - THE FIRST JUDGEMENT was in the top ten WATERSTONES SCI FI/FANTASY charts for nearly four consecutive weeks even climbing up to number two for four days in a row!

One extremely 'fervent' follower of the Chroniclers got in touch to tell us it even went to number one (at around an extremely obscure time in the morning for a whole hour! - obviously when all Terry Prachett and Phillip Pullmans fans were sound asleep and some amazing insomniac Chroniclers bought online and Messiah raced ahead!) If I'd known I would have stayed up with my digital camera and filmed the top ten chart for posterity, but no - even though I have never exercised in my entire life - Without fail I enjoyed my usual sound, unshakeable nine hours of sleep and the whole event passed me by without a trace.

But of course - now here is the thing - and as this is my own intermittent blog - I shall intermittently share my next languishing episode of this particular saga.

I had just finished writing the above being interrupted to do a London radio interview re: Messiah, and on resuming my blog, logged on to view Messiah's positioning to ensure my blog facts were up to date... well, the great fantasy chart rider( alias W.A.) logged on five minutes ago and whereas yesterday Messiah was sandwiched in at number five between Phillip Pullman Subtle Knife and his Amber Spyglass - at this present moment in earths time line (as I write my blog) - the great fantasy chart rider's book has effectively vanished into the outer ether of non chartland. The great fantasy chart rider is also too chicken to go further down than ten in the chart on the offchance that suddenly Messiah has plummeted to the outer boundaries of ten thousand in the raging black ether of oblivion.

Okay! ..froth aside..... the truth is that we are all so thrilled at the Chronicles base - that whether Messiah is in or off the charts - we're just supremely excited, grateful and completely PASSIONATE about the whole Chronicles PROJECT.

Already the reviews have been so encouraging and fantastic feedback from readers around the UK is starting to flood in. O yes - of course there will be some naysayers - haven't seen them yet but they always arrive! [especially in our wonderfully sometimes cynical nation of Great Britain! Wouldn't expect anything less!]

We always love to get your feedback, and we'll be starting a section on the site called CHRONICLES Q&A - so DO email me anything you want to about the books... I'll be sharing some answers to readers questions as well as sharing some really interesting facts about the book MESSIAH - such as - There really WAS a King Aretas 4th of Petra ..and he DID have a daughter who was married to Herod Antipas and repudiated (divorced!)... more on CHRONICLES Q & A on this site.

Another incredible document I found was one that I felt was definitely a worthy rival of the Da Vinci Code or the Lost Gospel of Judas and I have drawn from it in this work of fiction . It is a document called THE GOSPEL OF NICODEMUS, OR ACTS OF PILATE where Annas, Caiaphas, Joseph and Gamaliel interviewed the sons of Simeon who had been resurrected from the dead at the exact time of Christs cruxifiction, in the Jerusalem synagogue.

This article which is a widely accepted part of the Apocrapha substantiates that two eyewitnesses who were previously dead in their tombs were resurrected in Jerusalem and actually witnessed SEEING Christ in Hades. The full article is thought provoking to say the least - we'll post it soon.
